The service business grew very fast and by the end of 2013 the company had established itself as one of the top scale service companies in the southwest.
In December, 2014, after a corporate reorganization, the company established permanent retail offices, hired additional staff and added more service vehicles to what is, now, a brand new company, with the same dedication to quality and service that Les and Brian established from day one. Les was a senior business development manager in the software industry for nearly 20 years and Brian was an executive in the steel industry. Brian retired in 2012 and the company expanded into the scale service and calibration market in southern New Mexico and west Texas. Their combined expertise provided the perfect mixture of technology and engineering experience to form B&B Scales as an innovative presence in the scale industry. The company has come a long way since that fateful day in 2006, when Brian sold Les the steel to fence his horse pasture. B & B Scales LLC was founded in 2006 by two businessmen who walked away from corporate America after nearly 40 years of combined experience.
Today, B and B Scales, Inc is a major distributor of weighing technology in the Southwest US, and provides on-site service, calibration and repair to companies throughout New Mexico and west Texas. Interested organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization and conduct activities aimed at enriching the lives of children with physical, emotional or developmental disorders. The company continues to provide OEM solutions for some of the largest manufacturers of livestock equipment out there.
